All music classes have a minimum of two students. Classes and private lessons are 30 minutes. Classes cost $35.00 a month. Private lessons cost $70.00 a month. Fees are due monthly. There is a new payment system for music lessons, classes or private, that will benefit students and DLA. Students will only pay for eleven (11) months in each year. If payments are made completely and on time, the twelfth (12th) month will be FREE. Each student's year will begin starting with the date he or she started lessons. The payments take into account: > The months in which there are more than four weeks in the month. > Holidays such as Christmas, Labor Day, etc. > Short summer holiday for DLA, etc.
The rates for music lessons were established more than five years ago and haven't changed. They are only slightly higher now and are still the BEST DEAL IN BUNCOMBE COUNTY!

WHAT PEOPLE SAY ABOUT US
John, I don't always take the time to thank you for your work with Lee. He loves playing guitar (he was "practicing" at midnight last night) OK, maybe that's not so great (HA!) but I'm so thrilled that he loves it. I know your encouragement has a lot to do with that. My girls have had less than wonderful experiences with music teachers in the past and thus they lost their desire to play. Just wanted to take the time to say thanks for making a difference.
Blessings,
Mollie (Mollie Stafford, Parent of Guitar Student )
We would have to say that our experience with Daniels Learning Adventure over the last several years has been a very positive one. My sons have appreciated John's teaching ability, patience, and inclusive teaching style in their music classes. His broad musical knowledge in theory and sound recording together with his own personal musical talent and experience make him an exceptional instructor and mentor to any music student.
Nancy Johnson
Parent of Drum Student and Song Writing and Multi-Track Recording Student
Mr. Daniels has been my granddaughter’s math teacher and tutor for more than two years. He makes math interesting and fun to learn. He has the capability to be most patient while he is teaching. He has funny, interesting stories that go along with the teaching. We appreciate his Christian attitude and way of teaching. He has taught her a lot [while tutoring] and we appreciate him very much.

POLICIES
PAYMENT AND ATTENDANCE POLICY
The music classes & lessons are part of the income for DLA. For that reason, we use the following guidelines to ensure that:
o Each student's chosen time slot is available to that student at normal appointed times.
o There is as much continuity in each student's music education as possible.
o There is an appropriately steady income for DLA.
The PAYMENT POLICY is as follows:
Ø Music lessons are to be paid for on a monthly basis. This makes it easier for both the parents and DLA to keep track of what is owed and what is paid.
Ø Payment for each month’s lesson is to be received at DLA on or before the first lesson of the month.
Ø If a student pays for each month, on time, for eleven (11) consecutive months, the twelfth (12th) month will be free. The time is calculated from the first FULL month the student is enrolled. If one or more months are skipped (for summer time etc.) the FREE month is forfeited.
Ø No refund or credit can be given if the student does not come to lesson or class except in the case of:
o __ Student's severe and prolonged illness or injury.
o __ Injury or death in the family.
o __ Other circumstances on a case by case basis.
___ Please inform DLA as soon as possible in any of these cases. ___
The ATTENDANCE POLICY is as follows Ø If a student is not able to come to one or more lessons in a month, DLA should be notified at least 14 days before that month begins. When one or more classes will be missed, there are two possibilities:
o __ The student may decline to pay for that month, at the risk of losing the space.
o __ The student may pay for the whole month and come at all possible times. REMEMBER, the prices at DLA are well below other music classrooms.
If proper notification or payment is not made before lessons are missed, the missed month or lessons will need to be paid for before lessons can resume.
Ø Refunds are given only if a student has something severe happen in his/her life, prolonged illness, death in family etc.
Ø Returned Check Policy - All checks returned for Insufficient Funds will be charged a $25.00 fee. If you are not sure of your account balance, you may want to BRING cash or send a cashiers check or money order. Daniels Learning Adventure is happy to take checks. Please make sure they are good.
OTHER POLICIES
Ø No distinction is ever made on the basis of gender, race or religion for any class.
Ø Some children have a hard time squeezing a guitar neck hard enough to make a clean sound or reaching the keyboard keys. Because of these requirements, Daniels Learning Adventure will do a free ability assessment before music classes start.
Ø ABSENCE AND MAKE-UP POLICY - Daniels Learning Adventure cannot make up classes due to a student’s absence, except in extreme circumstances, such as a student’s severe and prolonged illness or a death in his or her family.
Ø SNOW DAYS - DLA will close if the weather is bad enough to close Buncombe County schools. If you’re not sure about your particular class, please call first.
Ø MAKE-UP TIME - In case of snow or teacher absence, music classes and other by-the-month classes will be credited one week for the following month.
SPECIAL SAFETY NOTES - Every precaution will be taken to ensure each student's safety and well-being. Students are expected to take normal precautions for their own safety. DLA is not responsible for injuries due to inappropriate behavior.
PUNCTUALITY / PICKING UP STUDENTS
We appreciate students who are on time, but please allow students to come the lesson just a couple of minutes before the lesson starts. This prevents unnecessary interruptions. Thank you.
